Meet Captain Ed Kislauskis

With over forty years of hands-on experience navigating the coastal waters off Plymouth, Massachusetts, Captain Ed Kislauskis brings a lifelong passion and deep local knowledge to every trip on the water. Before dedicating his time to charter guiding full-time, Captain Ed worked as a research faculty member at UMass Medical School. Today, he channels that same analytical precision and attention to detail into tracking seasonal fish migrations across Plymouth, Kingston, and Duxbury harbors, as well as the broader Cape Cod Bay.

Holdings a USCG 50-Ton Master Captain's license, Captain Ed has fished in destinations around the globe. Yet, Cape Cod Bay remains his favorite body of water to fish—which is why he chose Plymouth as the permanent home base for Cuz Charters. Over the years, he has guided hundreds of guests ranging from first-time anglers to seasoned sportfishermen, prioritizing a welcoming, safe, and professional environment on every outing.

The Boat: The "CUZ"

Your day on the water takes place aboard the CUZ, a 29-foot Shamrock walkaround express vessel designed for comfort, stability, and optimal fishing space. Powered by twin 320 HP Mercruiser inboard engines, the boat cruises efficiently at speeds up to 30 mph, minimizing travel time so you spend more time with lines in the water. With a full walk-around deck layout, up to seven guests can comfortably fish, cast, and move about the boat without crowding.

The CUZ is outfitted with top-tier marine electronics—including advanced GPS and fish-finding sonar—along with outriggers and high-quality Shimano rod and reel setups tailored for both inshore light tackle and offshore heavy-game fishing. For added comfort during longer outings, the vessel features an enclosed cabin and an onboard marine head (toilet).
